Senate Bill 1165

Senate Bill 1165, signed by Governor Brown in September 2014, recommends sex trafficking prevention education be taught in California public school classrooms, and requires that it be included in future publications of public school health curriculum. This California state bill validates the importance of education for the future growth of the 3Strands Global Break Free Education program. SB1165 makes a strong statement that human trafficking awareness and prevention education is vital for the health and safety of middle school and high school students.
