Directions and Parking

From San Francisco:

-Take US 101 S toward Interstate 80 E/Oakland/San Jose.

-Take Interstate 80 exit on Left toward Bay Bridge/Oakland.

-Merge onto I-80 E.

-Take Interstate 580 E exit toward California 24/Hayward/Stockton.

-Continue straight onto I-580 E.

-Take the exit toward Grand Ave/Lakeshore Ave.

-Merge onto MacArthur Blvd.

-Turn Right onto Grand Ave.

-Sharp Left on Bellevue Ave.

-Entrance to Lakeside Park will be on the left.

 

From Walnut Creek:

-Take CA-24W via the ramp to Oakland.

-Take exit 2B for Interstate 580 E toward Hayward.

-Merge onto I-580 E.

-Take the exit toward Grand Ave/Lakeshore Ave.

-Merge onto MacArthur Blvd.

-Turn Right onto Grand Ave.

-Sharp Left onto Bellevue Ave.

-Entrance to Lakeside Park will be on the Left.

 

From San Jose:

-Take I-880N toward Oakland.

-Take Oak Street exit toward Lakeside Drive.

-Turn Right onto Oak Street.

-Continue onto Lakeside Drive and keep Right to stay on Lakeside Drive.

-Continue onto Harrison Street.

-Turn Right onto Grand Ave.

-Slight Right onto Bellevue Ave.

-Entrance to Lakeside Park will be on your Left.

 

From Sacramento:

-Take I-80 West (approx 73.1 miles).

-Take exit 8B on the Left toward Downtown Oakland/Hayward/Stockton.

-Merge onto I-580 E.

-Take exit toward Grand Ave/Lakeshore Ave.

-Merge onto MacArthur Blvd.

-Turn Right onto Grand Ave.

-Sharp Left onto Bellevue Ave.

-Entrance to Lakeside Park will be on the Left.

 

The Break Free Run Oakland starts at Lakeside Park, Lake Merritt located at 666 Bellevue Avenue, Oakland. The start and finish lines are in Lakeside Park near the Edoff Memorial Bandstand. Parking is available on Bellevue Avenue (within Lakeside Park) for a fee of $5.00 per day.  Free and metered street parking is also available in the surrounding neighborhood.
